Audience sang effortlessly and danced to Sweety pie, Susuka, and Oh Azay amongst other songs; the ambiance and screaming suddenly changed when Kinaata rasied his current hit song ‘Confession’.
The entire town of Sunyani and its environs came to a standstill as, Samini, Miss Vee, Medikal, Ras Kuuku, Na Cee, Mabel Okyere amongst other artistes rocked audience at the Coronation Park.
The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Nominees Jam happened at Sunyani last Saturday 11th March with a parked capacity of about 5,000 Audience ready to jam to the most anticipated event in the town.
The eagerness of the people wanting to be part of the jam was simply amazing as they started trooping the venue as early as 4pm although show was advertised to start at 7 PM.
The artistes on the bill no doubt performed their best as the crowd cheered them on as they took their turns to perform back – to-back hit tracks and of course some of their fans’ favourite tracks.
The ultra-Modern stage, lights and sound systems brought some real transformation to the coronation Park as audience enjoyed the look and the feel of the overwhelming ambience.
When Samini took his turn to perform as final artiste on the bill, audience only wished the jam had not stopped. He dished out tracks one after the other, as the enthusiastic Patch Bay Band played perfectly to his singing.
The Unsung artistes also had their fair share as they were given the opportunity to perform and also canvassed for votes. Some local acts in the Sunyani Township had the opportunity as well to showcase their musical talents on the same stage as other VGMA Nominees.
